Ok, after hours and hours of laboring (pun intended) over our profile, I finished it yesterday! wooo hooo! Now I just need to print several and get them in the mail.
So what's next...
I am planning on making business cards with our email address, and toll-free number, and possibly our attorney and social worker's email and numbers too. That way we can carry them where ever we go, and hand them out to whomever.
Also, I plan to create a one-page flier explaining a little about us and how to contact us and I will distribute that via email to anyone who wants one, then you are free to print it out and hand it out to anyone who might know of a woman or BE a woman making adoption plans for her unborn baby.
I have a vision of me and a staple gun posting "WANTED: BABY!" fliers on telephone poles and anything else I could staple them to....

I'm not exactly sure about the "rules" of this...but have you ever thought about getting in contact with school counselors (middle school and high school)? There are always pregnant girls in the high school, and even at the middle school level (which is where I work). Just an idea...
I can totally see you doing that! If there is a way to link to the flier I'd be happy to share the link on facebook and on my blog and you could put it at the bottom of all your emails!
Hi Julie ~ I came across your blog and just wanted to let you know that I will be praying for you as you continue on your adoption journey! My husband and I adopted our little boy 4 years ago through domestic adoption and he is the joy of our life! God blessed us with such a precious child. I truly know the ups and downs of going through the process and know that in the end it is all worth the wait!
Oh, Sandy! It is just so special when someone like you takes the time to share your support for Julie and Chris. Thank you so much. :-)
Hi! You seem to be super proactive in your adoption journey and I love your idea of making business cards with your information! I had a friend also suggest contacting the schools in our area in case a student (or a teacher I suppose!) is looking for a family for their child. Also, if you have the availability to do so, I made a video and posted it to YouTube. The video is mostly pictures of me & my husband, with a voiceover of me talking about why I want to be a mom. It also gives the website address that we are using to try to contact birthmothers. Any more suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!
